There are basic procedures you should take when making a bracelet using tigertail . Remember you are making YOUR bracelet so there is no right or wrong colour mix or design. It is best to use tigertail when you are working with heavy / chunky beads as it provides greater overall strength.
Materials
- Round Nosed Pliers. Link to Pliers
- 50cm of tigertail (approx)
- Beads might require 15 - 20 depending on the size.
- 2 crimps
- One Magnetic clasp. ( Our preferred choice you can also use parrot clasps)
Instructions
- Wrap the tigertail around your wrist allowing an additional two finger space under the wire to allow for the beads.
- Plan your design. Avoid the temptation of making the bracelet straight without planning first! Review the number of beads you will need in the project and lay them on a flat surface use something like a tray with a raised edge to avoid escapees. Remember its your design so play around with the formation /colour arrangement until you are happy.
- Commence by adding a clasp and crimp to one end of the tigertail. Check out our video for assistance Magnetic Clasps Video
- Add your beads - Mixed Lampwork beads can provide a good start.
- Follow the above process in point 3 to finish off your project.
