Dichroic glass is made by fusing two pieces of glass to a thin sheet of metal in between.The dark background provides a solid image that reflects the light back. Dichroic glass does not have its own colour as such the colours we see in a piece of dichroic jewellery come from the reflection and refraction of light, creating an iridescent spectrum of color that is slightly different in every piece. That is why every piece of jewellery made using Dichroic Glass is unique. Depending on the conditions ie day or evening it appears to change colour.
