WHY USE TIGERTAIL

WHY USE TIGERTAIL

What is Tigertail ? When is it used?

Tigertail is a strong thin wire made from  threads of stainless steel cable coated with nylon it is mainly used for making necklaces that use heavier beads. It is not recommended for light-weight beading projects where nylon or stretch is a better option.

Given that it is a wire it cannot be looped at the end without kinking. To end off tigertail, crimps are the best solution. It should not be tied/knotted as a means of ending a piece of tigertail beadwork.

We stock tigertail in silver, gold and black with a thickness of 26 micron.
